i4dev-Africa conducted baseline survey in Kuneba and Berhale woredas of the Afar regional states in Ethiopia. The survey was conducted in January 2025 for an implementing partner institution called Organization for sustainable development (OSD). The baseline survey was aimed at establishing benchmark indicators of livelihoods and climate change resilience before the intervention was implemented under the Enhanced Livelihoods for War-Afrected Returnees, Refugees, and Host Communities project. The intervention targets 13572 individuals in host communities and 14746 refugees in the two woredas affected by drought and conflict. The intervention is designed to improve food security, build mechanisms towards disaster risk reduction and climate change resilience as well as safeguarding communities and livelihoods.
